Custom Curtains, Installed Locally in Officer
Officer's estates keep growing, and a lot of that growth is bigger, family-sized homes with more rooms to eventually furnish. Australian Window Covering has been fitting curtains across Officer for a long time, and we know most households here are not trying to get every window done in one weekend. Appointments are booked around your schedule, not the other way around and free in-home measure and quote visits are typically available within days.
Curtains for Officer's Formal Living Rooms
A lot of Officer's larger family homes include a separate formal living or dining room, kept apart from the everyday open-plan space most families actually live in day to day. Curtains are the finishing touch that transforms this less frequently used room from "just another room with blinds" into something that reads as thoughtful and finished. It's the room set aside for guests and special occasions, so it should look finished.
Curtains and the Cost of Heating a Bigger Home
Officer's bigger, double-storey house plans have proportionately more glass than a smaller traditional home. More glass equals more heat lost through windows over winter. Lined curtains fitted over existing blinds add a real second layer of insulation, and for a bigger house, that difference shows up on the power bill as well as in comfort. It's a practical reason many Officer homeowners add curtains.
New Clinics and Offices Want a Calmer Finish Than Blinds Alone
Officer's growing town centre has seen a continuous stream of new medical, allied health and professional office fit-outs and some of these practices are requesting drapes rather than blinds in reception areas and consult rooms. The softer look tends to suit a calmer, more reassuring atmosphere than blinds alone provide, particularly in health-related settings. We fit these the same way we do any home free measure and quote and manufacturing that can be replicated consistently across multiple rooms or sites.
