Curtain Service for Clyde's New-Build Community
Clyde continues to be one of the busiest new-title suburbs in Melbourne's south-east, and a lot of that activity means curtains going up not long after blinds do. Australian Window Covering supplies and installs curtains across Clyde on the same steady, ongoing basis we handle blinds, with free in-home measure and quote appointments generally available within days of getting in touch.
Why New Clyde Homes Often Feel Unfinished, Even After Blinds Go In
Blinds are a common feature of newly constructed homes in Clyde, but by themselves, they can make a space appear more like a display home than a place where people live. Curtains are usually the thing that changes that. Layered over existing blinds rather than replacing them, curtains add the softness, colour, and texture that a project home's standard fit-out doesn't include, and it's a common second step for Clyde homeowners once they've settled in and started making the place feel like their own.
Clyde Nurseries and Bedrooms Are Usually First
For young families moving into Clyde's newer estates, the nursery or main bedroom tends to be the first room that gets curtains, usually blockout, added over the top of standard blinds already in place. It's a small addition that makes a big difference to how well a baby or toddler actually sleeps, and it's one of the more common requests we get from first-time buyers settling into the area.
Offices and Display Suites Need Curtains Too
Clyde's ongoing estate development means a steady run of sales offices and display suites, and these need to present well to prospective buyers just as much as any finished home. As well as working with individual homeowners, we work directly with builders and developers in the area who frequently need curtains installed quickly and to a consistent standard across multiple display properties. We provide free measurements and quotes, quick turnaround times, and manufacturing that can be duplicated across multiple sites if necessary.
Where to start
Curtains We'd Recommend for Clyde Homes & Display Suites
-
Blockout Curtains
Blockout curtains are the most common first choice for nurseries and bedrooms in new Clyde homes and also suit meeting rooms in sales offices needing full glare control during presentations.

Sheer Curtains
Sheer curtains suit living areas where new homeowners want to soften the room without losing natural light and work equally well, giving display suites a bright, welcoming feel for visiting buyers.

Double Curtains
Double curtains combine both, giving a bright, open look by day and full privacy at night on the one window which is useful in homes and commercial spaces alike.
