Why Curtains Fade Faster Near Frankston's Bay
Curtains near the bay don't age the same way they do further inland. Strong western sunlight off the water and salt in the air cause fabric to deteriorate more quickly than it would in a typical suburban setting. Colours fade, weave weakens, and a curtain that would have lasted well elsewhere begins to appear worn out years earlier. It's a pattern we see often enough in Frankston that it shapes what we actually recommend, rather than defaulting to whatever's most popular elsewhere. Australian Window Covering regularly installs curtains across Frankston, so we know which fabrics actually hold up here, with free in-home measure and quote visits generally booked within days.
Curtains for Frankston's Compact Apartment Windows
A lot of Frankston's beachside apartment blocks have smaller rooms and narrower window bays than a typical house, and that changes what actually fits well. A bulky double-roller system or a shutter can feel oversized in a compact room, whereas curtains sit flatter against the wall and take up less visual space, without giving up on light control. It's a simple fit consideration, but one that comes up constantly in apartment jobs specifically, where every bit of room depth matters more than it would in a larger house.
Curtains Along Frankston's Foreshore Dining Strip
Along Frankston's foreshore strip, several restaurants and dining venues have opted for curtains over blinds in their front-facing windows, mainly to manage glare off the water during lunch service without losing the view entirely. A sheer or light-filtering curtain softens the light rather than blocking it out, which suits a dining room better than a fully closed blind would. We fit these the same way we handle any home, with a free measure and quote and manufacturing that holds up to the same bayside conditions.
